Poetry

Well, not quite. Some is, some isn’t. I figured I should put up a few of my favourite poems and similar things up here because, well, I’d like to. And then they’re always at my fingertips, and yours. Bon appetit. I’ve also gone wittering on about a whole book of poems by Ted Hughes, called Crow, which I think everyone should read.

Of course all poems are copyright to whoever wrote them or now holds the copyright – I don’t know anything about this kind of thing.

Desiderata – Max Ehrmann

He Wishes For The Cloths Of Heaven – W.B. Yeats

i carry your heart with me (i carry it – e.e.cummings

If I Could Tell You – W.H.Auden

One Art – Elizabeth Bishop

Twelve Songs IX – W.H.Auden

Lovepet – Ted Hughes
